    Xbox Controller Firmware Stuck on 5.15.3168.0


    When i go to the xbox accessories app on pc it shows me that there is a update available. After i start the update its stuck on 0% for a minute and then controller shuts down giving me a update failed message
    Using Windows 11 22H2 (23471.1000)Insider Channel: Beta Channel
    Tried: Different USB cables, Reinstalling Xbox Accessories App, Updating Windows, Removing Controller Driver through device manager

    have you checked to see if you can firmware update the controllers? You can get the Xbox accessory app for the PC connect the controller and "test" them out in it. Can you borrow a controller from a friend to see if theirs also does the same? It is
    possible you have two controllers stuck in the same mode; unlikely but possible.

    According to the xbox and plugging them into my pc the firmware is all up to date.

    the slim controller has firmware 3.1.1221.0

    and the older xbox controller has firmware 2.3.2385.0

    Then how about either the Windows or Xbox team decide who's going to support situations like soft-bricked controllers from bugs in the Xbox Accessories app? There's quite a few people, myself included, with controllers stuck in DFU (device firmware update)
    mode to no fault of our own from failed firmware updates via PC.

    Thank you for reaching out! I see the controller works perfectly fine on your PC but seems to be stuck on the "up" input when used on your Xbox. If you haven't already, try checking for any firmware

    updates on the controller.     Let us know if this helped or if your controller is already up to date. Cheers :D
