    So a few days ago i decided to try and use my xbox one controller on my pc as i was originally a console player, after a few days of trying and failing seemingly easy and foolproof methods it would appear i am a fool. looking back at the videos i notice
    that i lack the required driver and can not find it anywhere, can someone please help? (i am on windows 10)

    there is a official driver for the xbox one controllers you need the xbox accessorie app and uninstall the xbox 360 controller driver

    then just reconnect the xbox one wireless receiver it will reinstall the right driver automaticacly

    The Xbox one controller uses a different hardware and software setup than with the 360. The drivers in the controller are incompatible with the xbox one with the 360 controller. The circuit board is completely different, and the software inside the controller
    also is different.

    On a computer, there are 2 separate drivers for the 2 separate controllers. You can't run a 360 controller if you have a xbox one driver in the computer.

    And the controller does not have a driver to download online.

    The xbox controller driver is automatically downloaded when connecting the controller to the PC.
