    Xbox controller drift scheme?

    Hi Xbox controller drift scheme? :) I have bought 5 Xbox series controllers because I fell for the scheme of Microsoft making 60% of controllers non functional for profit. 3 Xbox series controllers and 2 Xbox design lab controllers, all with the same problem. These controllers aren't cheap, I'm a very handy man and I'm able to fix these things on their own, but since they're built for money and not for gaming, they will continue to fail after time passes. 5 controllers. I have gone through 5 controllers and people still want to cope with "sometimes they break." Not even the new elite controller is safe, especially not the old one. Before you respond with common cope please, take into consideration I have spent upwards of the price of a console just trying to play my Xbox. Don't tell me my batteries are low. Don't tell me my controller isn't updated, and especially don't try to tell me anything is grinding in my controller, I have dissected them all like little bugs and cleaned them responsibly. I had a friend help me with my warranty on my first two too, can you guess how those controllers are now? Worse than anything I've ever seen. It feels like I'm paying a low budget price for a media controller. You release these new controllers with higher price tags and the same problems linger. I even got Nintendo to fix my controllers for free and got better service, so "budget" isn't much of an excuse either when these are $60 packed with nothing in them. So I guess if I had to top this off with a question, it would be why is the one controller I can rely on is a single Xbox One controller I've had through multiple owners, "extreme" gaming sessions (According to Xbox this is about 4 hours of playing before your new controller's stick wears out.) Why do I have to buy Xbox One controllers now because you guys want to be like Nintendo, manufacture a problem then charge for a solution? I would rather pay $30 for a controller that'll last me 15 years than a $80 on a 2 month controller. How do you get away with doing this to people, I find it's very frustrating. Also to more clearly state for anyone who isn't reading, this is controller drift. The only problem these controllers have, I didn't think I'd have to clarify

    :)

    Thank you for your response, Zag Montz.

    We want to apologize for the confusion, but can you please be more specific what you mean;

    • "Box" when say "4 of my controllers were from the box".
    • Can you also confirm whether or not you were able to get the controllers repaired by yourself and if you see the issue?
    • From which games or experience you saw the drift and fi there were any that did not experience drift and others that did?
    • We need the information or the answers of the questions that we have posted on our previous response.
    We are looking forward to your response.

    Sincerely,

    Xbox controller drift scheme?

    Thanks, I'm running an Xbox Series S that I got 3 days ago with a design lab controller from much earlier this year, latest standard build OS as of 10/2/22. 4 of my controllers were from box, 2 black series controllers, 2 design lab controllers. My newest series controller dates back to 06/21/22. I don't feel the need to include people I know, however this does not seem to be a foreign problem for anyone who uses a controller that doesn't COME WITH the console. I just can't buy a controller and pay shipping to have a chance of fixing it, I just want one controller ever.

    Total war for Xbox one

    The controller isn't a problem if they are willing to put the time and effort into creating a decent control scheme.

    Command & Conquer on the Sega Saturn had a great control scheme. Halo Wars on the Xbox 360 did not.
