    I've bought a new Xbox X|S controller (model no. 1914). I've successfully used it with my PC, but when I try to use it on my mac (MacOS big sur 11.6.4), it doesn't work properly.

    The mac does recognize the controller, and it does connect to it via bluetooth, but when I try to play a game, the game recognizes the controller but doesn't respond to and button.

    The following notification appears: "This device needs a firmware update to resolve connectivity and performance issues".

    I've bought this controller specifically because it's macOS compatible - hope there's an easy solution to this problem.

    Hey Georges, thanks for the fast reply.

    I've just borrowed a friend's laptop and updated the firmware controller. Still - the exact problems occur. My MacOS is up to date and I've tried restarting and re-pairing the controller.

    Any solutions?

    Hello again, if both systems are up to date, it is difficult to know if it is because of the firmware of the control, or some things in the MAC operating system, my suggestion that try to check on some forum or community of MAC users to see if there are anyone with the same issue and has a solution.

    Hello Shaked, did you try to update de firmware controller in a PC WIndows or Xbox?

    If you don't have any of the platforms, try seeing with a friend or family member so you can update the firmware correctly.

    The link you provided is a dead link. It doesn't work.

    On my Xbox it says no update available for the controller.

    I've spoken with people on the preview program and they say that their Xbox One Elite Controller vibrates with Destiny. They have a different software version on their controller. So it's absolutely not a compatibility issue, but a firmware issue. The
    firmware for the controller that's currently only available on the Xbox Live preview program needs to be made available to everyone.
