XBox Controller does not talk with out-of-Focus Window

Thanks for your post. A controller, when plugged into a PC, still acts similarly to how a keyboard does; this is why when you switch back to the game, your game starts accepting inputs from the controller again, since the game is configured to accept these
inputs and not other applications.

I am using an application that would benefit from keeping the communication active with the controller also when its window goes out of focus (the gamepad is actually used to slew a telescope mount).

Might it be possible to change the default system behavior and grant to this specific application constant access to the XBox controller, maybe through a specific parameter/registry setting?

Make sure the window is clicked on. Sometimes windows loses focus when it comes to controllers and you have to remind it
