Xbox controller disconnects when using the xbox rechargeable battery.

My 2 controllers disconnects randomly also, I think my problem is trying to use rechargeable batteries. I don't understand why I cant use brand new AA rechargeables but microsoft says you can use their rechargeable pack. Sometimes
I had to use the cable from controller to xbox for awhile to get it to work even after unplugging xbox for a bit.

I've been using rechargeable batteries for years and from my experience, the only trouble I've ever had with controllers disconnecting is when the batteries are very old and barely hold a charge anymore. The last set I had would only last about 2 hours before
starting to disconnect and died after about 3 hours of use. They were about 3 years old when they started doing this. Newer rechargeable batteries have never caused disconnect issues, at least for me.

Right now I'm using Duracells, 2500mah NIMH rechargeables. They're about a year old and still going strong. I'm on almost every night, at least 5 hours and they still go probably more than a week between charges... no disconnects.

Still doesn't fix the problem. When I was using AA batteries it doesn't disconnect. When I switched from the xbox rechargeable battery pack it disconnects within a minute.

I understand you need assistance with your controller. Please try to do a hard reset on your console by following the steps below;

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Once done, try connecting your controller again and see if the issue persists. If yes, kindly try connecting your controller using a USB cable while using the rechargeable battery.

Forgot to mention that I'm using the controller on PC.
