xbox controller disconnects when screen sharing is activated

A game pausing when a controller disconnects varies by game. Some games will pause, others won't. It's up to the developer. Check the game settings to see if there is an option. Typically online multiplayer games won't pause, even if the user is in a menu screen. (I learned that the hard way on a number of occasions.)

If you don't want your controller to disconnect, the controller would need to be wired, and it needs to remain active (i.e. click a button, move a thumb stick).

Okay peter here is the deal with the boxer share. You can access Boxer share thru an xbox 360 console. When it comes to an Xbox one console, They Closed the boxer share for the xbox one console. Servers are still active but they disconnect in an out. be
careful with people hacking you. If they Can't handle a Lost. They try to report you and try to suspend your gamertag.

If you disconnect the keyboard and mouse, or disconnect the controller from the Shutdown screen (hold the Xbox button on your controller to see this screen), does the same issue occurs?
