Xbox controller constantly disconnecting during game.

We have multiple xboxes in our house without previous issue for the past 3 years. Now all of a sudden, all of our controllers are constantly disconnecting from the Xbox while getting the error message ‘you need a controller for this game’. It’s like it freezes because the only way to reconnect is to take out batteries and replace. Yes, I’ve changed the batteries and done an update on both the console and controller. It just doesn’t make sense that all 3 xboxes would start doing the same thing in different rooms, same error. I’ve tried researching but have come up short and I’m hoping you can provide a solution.

For us to further isolate the case, kindly try to connect your Xbox controllers to a different Xbox console. You can try it on a friend or family member's console.

Also, try to use a different controller from another console to your Xbox One console to check if it works.

Connecting the controller with a USB cable doesn't work,

Controller still disconnects even with a USB cable connected,

I have the same issue with Series X using mouse and keyboard for Call of Duty Vanguard.

I played during the beta and there was no problems with the controller disconnecting but as soon as the game released, the controller disconnects,

I've tried a Xbox One controller Series X controller, with batteries and a USB cable, and the controllers still disconnects.

I'm constantly getting the same message as OP and it also disconnects me during games. It will say I need an xbox live membership, which I have and it works fine. I tried the bumpers, start button thing and no luck. Any other solutions?
