Xbox controller channel

Which 2.4g channel does a Xbox controller work on to connect to the Xbox as I am experiencing interference even at a close range. We think it could have something to do with Sonos or zigbee as we have a control 4 system that uses zigbee to connect devices

Hi Noo Noo,

Actually there is a voice command and a controller command that do the same thing. If you say "Xbox Select" in the US it will bring up a list of channels which will include your recently tuned to channels, and the rest of the list will be popular channels.
The way bring up the last channels you tuned to with the controller is to press the View button which is on the left center of the controller next to the Xbox logo Nexus button. This brings up the recent channels mini guide and will show you all your most
recently tuned to channels.

I'm sorry there's no way to monitor which channel the controllers are using the Xbox

Your best bet would be to get a frequency scanner to see what it's doing. This video while not being directly related, would likely help you in doing that as Linus appears to have a similar problem

it's impossible.. xbox controllers not wifi devices.. they have radio on 2.4 Ghz.

Could you check channels' assignment on all your controllers?

In my configuration issue follows the highest used channel number, not a controller.

For example:

- Standard Black Model 1537 (channel 2) works

- Titanfall limited edition Model 1537 (channel 3) works

- Halo 5 Master Chief limited edition Model 1697 (channel 4) works

- Standard Black Model 1697 (channel 5) doesn't work

Then try to reinstall XOWA and connect controllers in different order (ie connect Model 1697 as first) - this will show if it is particular controller model issue or adapter/driver issue.

Check channels' assignment again and verify which controllers work.

There are several topics related to multiple controllers configuration with XOWA.

Maybe we will find common issue and finally it will be fixed by MS.

I had a similar issue with my Day One Xbox One and the Day One controller. I was told that it was possibly an issue because of some wi-fi interference. If your home router is set to automatically find a suitable channel, it might have swapped to a wifi
channel that is causing interference between the Xbox One and the Xbox One controllers. When I changed my wifi channel, the problem went away.
