xbox controller cant disconnect from my PC

Playing the division on PC , its the only game that for some reason my controller disconnects from. Maybe its just Xbox controllers in general?

it never happened while i played Xbox before i started using it as a PC controller

Im streaming from my pc because i have a wired xbox 360 controller and you cant connect a 360 controller with xbox one

But my problem is ify brother streams his games i cant do anything els on my pc because it them stops the controller from playing

Yeah, I use it on my PC and have the exact same problem, I tried on my Xbox still had the same problem. It always disconnects for me when I am putting in a lot of inputs, and I think it gets confused and disconnects. But still, its a $180 controller that
cant connect right. This is stupid.

Thanks for the response. My PC is up to date and I have updated the controller via the Xbox Accessories app. I've plugged it into my PC and my Xbox, and have the same issue with both. The only common denominator is the cable itself, which came with my original elite controller from a couple years ago but the strange thing is the controller stays powered on even though the game stops registering input. On Xbox it'll actually say "Controller disconnected", on PC it just stops working.

I've found a resolution for my problem. If I plug my controller into my USB switch the controller doesn't disconnect, even though the other inputs do disconnect randomly! When I swap the inputs to my PC everything works perfectly and the Xbox controller continues to work on the Xbox (weirdly).
