Xbox controller button glitch

Hey, long time xbox 360 gamepad user. Loved 'em. Had 3 controllers for 5 years and not a single problem. Well the batteries are depleting faster but it's ok with rechargeable ones. So anyway for christmas i got a new xbox one controller. loved the feel.

Sooo after about 4 months of casual playing they started to glitch. Both of them at the same time. (one more than the other).

When i lightly press the A button it doesn't react. This is very annoying as i usually don't want to think about how hard i press down the controller and it makes small jumps (hollow knight) hard to perform dependently often resulting in a fall to doom.

So i read up and saw you only had 3 months (!) guarantee. (wonder why)

I also read that this is a common problem and people can often solve it themselves with cleaning the controller and or exchanging the conductive rubber underneath the controller. so i tried cleaning it.. no effect. i've ordered a toolset from the states
to open up the controller (with new conductive bla bla bla) i just got them and one controller seems to function a bit bitter (still som light pushes are not registered)

the second controller showed no improvement at all. and i opened it up, blev the whole controller with aire and burshed it with antistatic brush. used isopropyl on the removed buttons the circuitry and the buttonholes too no avail. this controller doesnt
register if i dont press the a button for king an country.

so whats up? why do you make controllers that [removed by mod] when you obviously can make good controllers?

is there any way to fix this issue?

I have never had a problem with my Xbox One controllers. You should not assume because have had problem that everyone is. Yes, that have been problems reported but that is not the case for everyone.

how did you clean them? cause i removed all buttons and treated them with ipa along the with buttonholes and replaced the conductive band. when this failed to work i opened one up again and did the same plus ipa on the circuitry that is connected to the
conductive rubber,,

i mean i had them for 3 months... my xbox 360 never had any problems for 5 years

and i never had a problem with xbox 360. for 5 years.

these ones. two controllers with the exact same fail, and they arent fixed by cleaning.

i'm not asuming it's the case for everyone. but for two controllers to experience the same malfunciton after 3 months is a bit werid.

that a change of a spare part and extensive cleaning doesnt clean it points to hardware fault

just saying.

I had the same issue as you at one point with one of my controllers. My "Day One" controller was giving me the same issues until I cleaned it like you mentioned, although, I didn't use alcohol. After the cleaning, the controller performed like it was brand
new. Maybe another cleaning or the controller itself was bad.

Hello Alexander,

Sorry for the issue with the controllers. Personally have had controllers only last couple months, granted it was dropped a couple times. Most other times my controllers last about 6 months. But I am an avid gamer, and they all have ended up with stick drift.
If they are over the 90 day(which is for all accessories). Except a design lab controller or elite controller. You will need to replace them.
