    Xbox Controller Audio Passthrough


    I have a windows 10 device connected to my Xbox controller, and when I plug an audio jack cable in, no sound is outputted. I've tried device manager, driver settings, hard-wiring it with USB-C, and restarting, but the audio is still coming out of my speakers, not the controller. When connected to an actual Xbox, the controller outputs sound, meaning that the controller is not faulty. The controller also has the latest update.

    the controller has to be hardwired for audio to work as the xbox controller bluetooth does not allow audio passthrough.

    Connecting my XBOX to Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth.

    the console does not even have any bluetooth hardware internally, the controllers do as they can connect via bluetooth to pc and wifi to the console.

    the reason you see the console under devices on pc is due to it being on the same network.

    the controller can be paired via bluetooth on pc but with limitations.

    audio passthrough on the controller will not work via bluetooth

    wired connection supports audio passthrough

    wireless connection with a microsoft wireless adapter for controller with support audio passthrough.

    for a headset to work through the xbox controller on pc it (the controller) has to be wired or using the xbox wireless adapter, audio passthrough is not supported via bluetooth.

    by bluetooth if your pc has this (does not support audio passthrough so no headest support via controller).

    by wire (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

    by purchasing the xbox wireless adapter for pc (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

    are you sure that is the version with speakers, it will have audio controls usually for audio passthrough to the headphone jack on the back
