  1. Xbox controller as wireless audio reciever on Windows PC, please remove timeout or set it...

I've been using the Xbox controllers (one and series x) to transmit audio to my wired headphones while gaming but also when watching Youtube or just using the Windows PC. But what I find frustrating that the controller would just power down if not in gaming use = I'm not pressing any buttons but I still listen to the audio that is being transmitted wirelessly. Can you make a setting that would allow to just stream audio with no timeout? Or give an option to set the device idle power off timeout? Like 15min, 30min, 2h, never.

I know that service designers like to scope the use of every service and say that this is not how you are supposed to use the device, but people do a lot of things outside of the scope so please consider this request. People do watch streams and game interchangeably, don't see a reason to switch audio setup between the two uses.

    :)

can i use xbox 360 wireless controller with my xbox360?

You don't need to plug the reciever from the set into your Xbox 360 console (in fact the reciever wouldn't work on the console).

Instead, simply bind the controller itself to your console directly, as per
    the instructions that Taidara linked
    .

Only the PC will need the wireless reciever.

If you wish to use the controller on the PC again, you'll have to bind the controller with the wireless reciever on your PC again, by pressing the button on the wireless reciever, and the bind button on the controller.

Forza Horizon 4 - Xbox 360 Controller does not work anymore after disconnect

I have had issues too with the Microsoft wireless controller for Xbox. This is needed to use any wireless device for the console on the PC.
Those are the first two games I had this kind of issues with. I have no disconnects beneath the timeouts after inactivity, and only those two games make problems. In other games either it causes to pause the game or to open a window to reconnect the controller.

Funny that those are xbox/windows exclusives where you would expect a perfect xbox controller support!

Xbox 360 and Xbox one controller for PC

    ...

Please if i buy a Xbox 360/one controller for console can i use it on PC ?

Or i have to buy a specific "Xbox 360/one controller for PC" ?
    That depends.

For Xbox One controllers, you can simply buy any Xbox One controller and a Micro USB cable, and you can use it right away on Windows 10.

If your PC has Bluetooth capability and you have at least Windows 10 Version 1709 installed (1803 or 1809 would be better), you can even connect the controller wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Alternatively, if you want to use the controller wirelessly, but don't have Bluetooth, you can buy a Wireless Gaming adapter for Xbox One controllers. For example

this set with controller and wireless USB adapter included
    .

As for Xbox 360 controllers: You will HAVE TO buy the
    Wireless Gaming Reciever for Windows
, or make sure that you are buying a
WIRED controller for Xbox 360 and Windows PCs
    .

Don't make the mistake of buying a wireless Xbox 360 controller and a Play&Charge USB cable for that controller. The Play&Charge cable will NOT transmit the controller input. It will ONLY provide power for the controller and battery charging, but no input.

    TL;DR: Buy
    this controller
, and you're set, as long as you have Windows 10. For Windows 7 or 8 you need to fiddle around with drivers.
