Xbox Constantly Disconnects from Network

I am having an issue in which my Xbox is constantly being disconnected from the network. It will start disconnected, after about 5-10 seconds it will connect to the network, stay connected for about 5-10 seconds, then disconnect again. This happens continuously,
non-stop, as long as the Xbox is powered on.

I know this is not the network, because none of my other devices are having connection issues. I have rebooted the router and Xbox many times. I have also unplugged the Xbox many times. I have also replaced the Ethernet cable and tried just connecting to
wireless, and I still have the same issue.

I checked the latest status in the update area and saw it said update failed with error code (0x8B050066). This happened after the 12/9/2015 update. I also did some research and found that if you had the game disc Watch Dogs in the console while some updates
are occurring, it can cause issues. I did actually have that game disc in my console during the last update. The video said you just need to remove the disc and re-trigger the update, however, my xbox thinks it already has the latest update, so it will not
try to download it again.

I did a factory reset expecting that it would uninstall all the updates and I could do a fresh update as part of the setup process, however, when it checked for updates it immediately said I had the latest update and did not change a thing. Even after doing
the reset I am still having the issue. And now, because it is constantly disconnecting, I can’t even log into my xbox live account on the console.

I have spent a considerable amount of time researching the error code and have found a few people that are having very similar issues, but no resolutions to the issue. Please help!

My Xbox ONE S disconnects from the internet constantly and sometimes it does not let me connect to the network again.

It will mostly affect your online games, Because you need a high speed network not to disconnect from any game..You can play some games using this network speed.

 

My console is doing the same thing, mostly when using YouTube or another streaming service, had your controller been de syncing itself?

 

if you have a modem and a router , plug straight up to the modem and see if its good there....

 

The controller has not been de-syncing. The console literally disconnecting every 5 seconds so i can't even stay connected in any apps long enough to stream anything.

The xbox is connected directly to the modem. I've tried multiple things with the modem too.

 

My Xbox is doing the same thing and seemed to have increased in frequency since moving to the new experience. For the 360 to been as solid as it was, it is terribly disappointing that the xbox one is so buggy. My system disconnects from both wifi and wired
networks. I've changed routers 3 times and reconfigured the network too many times to count. No other device in my house is having these issues. It's increasingly getting worse to stay connected to games as well. I would notice that there was no other content
showing up on the home page, but could see friends logged in. That was a clear sign I was going to have a connection issue. I got in the habit of logging out, waiting for the content to show up on the home page and then log back in, then try to connect to
the game or streaming service. That had a 50/50 chance of working. Now this method doesn't work unless I restart/reset the xbox totally, and sign back in and even then, I've been kicked out of games back to the xbox home screen or have apps freeze on me and
report no internet connection. $400 in gaming device sure doesn't get you much quality these days.

 

Yes, it sounds like we are having pretty much the same issue. However, my Xbox One was working fine in the first few weeks of the new experience. It seems this started around the time of the 12/9/15 update. I think I am going to try to do the offline system
update tool, then if that doesn't work and I still haven't found a solution, I may need to send it in for repair.

Figured out the issue. The update that Microsoft pushed out caused some issues with the xbox's connection with my local network. I got on a chat with an Xbox support person, and he told me i needed to request my ISP to do port forwarding and gave me the
ports I needed to ask my ISP to open up. I called them up, gave them the ports, then asked them to reset my modem and it started working!

 

Finally got this working. It turns out that since Microsoft pushed out that update, it can cause issues with your Xbox's connection with your local network. I got on a chat with Xbox support and he told me to call my ISP and request port forwarding. He gave
me a list of ports to ask them to open up. I called my provider and they opened them up then reset my modem and it started working!
