XBOX CONSTANT STATIC

I get static on Xbox constantly, no matter what headset or controller I use, unless the controller is plugged into the Xbox, I have recently moved my setup but I don’t know what is causing this? Any help

It's most likely something else in your house operating on the same frequencies. Do you have any smart home things like thermostats, light bulbs or doorbells?

hey! may be a different account name but still me, i have done lots of tests to see, stripping everything in my setup to only the xbox and the controller and headset, ive tried multiple different headsets with different controllers to no luck. What always happens is that i get occasional popping noises whenever audio runs through my headset, whichever one it is, but it isnt constant, i may have misworded that, but it is always there unless i plug my controller into my xbox via the USB on the back.

Do you think it may be the xbox? As I have tried my controllers and headsets on my friends setup and he gets no static with them?

Any help would be appreciated, as this has been happening for a few months.

Although i think i should mention that at the start, as in last month, the popping was constant, but it happens much less now, and i dont know why.

I think it happens less with a wireless headset, although its hard to tell, but no i dont think its the headphone jack as it works fine in my friends setup

NOTE: to test it, i gave my setup the same conditions as my friends, just the xbox, a monitor, the controller and the headset

Also, when audio is played out of the monitor instead of a headset, there is no popping at all

My friend currently lives with me, so whatever I get surely he would experience too? Which makes me think that it could be the Xbox, as I have had it for a while

Hello Rory, this is really strange, what happens sometimes are noises because of the female connector of your headset.

However you mention static, do you have any kind of equipment that could provide some interference with your headset?

In order to make your IP stay constant, you will want to set a static IP. You can do this on your Xbox One by going to Network Settings -> Set up Network, and you will be able to set your own IP address.
