Xbox Console Updates

If you have your console set to the sleep option instead of energy save mode for shut down and the option to keep your console and games updated, updates will generally happen when you're not using the console and you'll never notice them.

I understand that you are frustrated.

But microsoft doesn't have calendars with advance notices of when updates will arrive, friend.

So if these updates are mandatory, why is there not a notification system in place to alert me that one is to be pushed, surely their releases are known in advance? Given also, their sporadic release times/dates (I've got written evidence of this), how am I supposed to plan for them, in order to not have my games forcibly interrupted. I apologise if I come across as rude, but I'm really unhappy with how disruptive these updates are and how often it affects me and quite often my friend's experiences online

Live updates are rolled out in waves. Your other two consoles will get updates eventually.
