    I recently got a gaming PC and am having a very difficult time figuring out how my Xbox console accounts interact with my Xbox PC accounts — particularly on EA Games.

    Here is my specific issue:

    My son (11 years old) has an Xbox account on our console. He plays Squadrons (an EA game) a lot and wants to play it on the PC. His account has Game Pass Ultimate.

    I logged into his account through the Xbox app on the PC and attempted to download Squadrons for him to play.

    It would not download through the Xbox app. Instead, it made me download the EA Play app.

    So, I downloaded the EA Play app and logged into it using his Xbox account on the login screen for EA Play.

    The problem is that EA Play does show anywhere where he can download Squadrons. It shows something about Redeem Code (which I don’t have b/c Squadrons was purchased on the Xbox console), but doesn’t give me anywhere to download Squadrons (or any other EA game for that matter).

    I’m hoping that someone can help me here. I’ve been trying to get this to work for 3 days and not had any success. EA support is useless. All this kid wants to do is play Squadrons on the PC using the game save he’s already 1/2 way through on the console, and I’m at a loss as to how to help him.

    I can not get any help changing the birth date on an account listed as a child account in my family page.

    It will allow you to play certain games with a child account.

    EA is known for not allowing child accounts through xbox to play their games.

    The thing is this there are certain features that are blocked by EA for child accounts.

    Thanks but that’s no help. When you sign into a child account in EA app there are no settings to adjust for that child. In my own EA account I can link my Xbox account as you suggest but that doesn’t help my children.

    As a test I changed their Xbox account birthdays to 18 but they still get the same error.

    Could I know if you already linked the Microsoft account that has Game Pass active and your EA account?
    This question is asked because according to the following FAQ, “To get started on PC, Ultimate and PC Game Pass members will first need to link their Xbox and EA accounts and make sure they have the EA app installed on their PC. The Xbox app for Windows PC will walk you through the setup process.

    If you have played an EA Play game on your console, your Xbox, and EA accounts are likely linked, so you should ensure you sign in to the Xbox app for Windows PC with that same Xbox account you use for console.

    Once you have installed the EA app and link your accounts you will be able to browse the EA Play catalog and download games through the Xbox app for Windows PC via the EA app.”
