    Xbox console OS suggestions


    Hello,
    The Xbox console would be much nicer if it had the following features and just remembering that those who agree with me, please support me, follow:
    1. Icon for network connection status, wired or wireless.
    2. Possibility to silence the sound reproduced when browsing the OS.
    3. Possibility to turn off WIFI / BLT when not in use, as it causes interference.
    That's all for now, but anyone who has suggestions is not shy about leaving them in the comments for the community.

    External Drive Problems

    Sounds like maybe an OS issue with the xbox. I'd suggest a soft factory reset.

    Instructions are here > https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/reset-console-to-factory-defaults

    This will reset the OS and settings but wont delete any games or saves.

    Sounds like your console is enrolled in the Delta Xbox Insiders preview. If so, you should check the Xbox Insider Forum on Reddit.

    The reason you may be getting large 2GB updates is you missed a preview update and the console will download the complete updated OS specific to the Delta preview.

    If your only internet access is a phone hotspot I suggest you unenroll from all Insider previews and return the console to the General release OS for xbox consoles.

    For example, my console is enrolled in the Alpha skip ahead preview and I do 3-4 updates to the OS a week. It doesn't take long to use 2GB a week just in OS updates.
