Xbox Console Companion streaming connection problems

Is anyone else having problems.

Streaming was working fine until last weekend. I made no changes to anything but autoupdate is switched on.

Having been using it fine the night before I swicthed on the PC and when I tried streaming the companion app reported problems that it couldn't connect to the console. I got the standard error about checking the console is switched on and on the same network.

I've been through the online helps - https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-xbox-app-game-streaming but
with no resolution.

The xbox settings are correct.

The app finds the console on the network when it switches on or when you select 'add device' but still won't connect. I've even tried connecting using the DNS of the console on the network but it still won't connect. The app would even turn on the xbox fine
but then come out with the same connection error when I tried to connect!

Just to add more weirdness when I checked I had the latest version of the app, as per the troubleshooting page there is a difference but I seem to have a newer version?

Microsoft say the latest is: 48.55.30001.00000.

My console companion app reports:
48.59.13001.00000

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.

First off, Smartglass is no longer supported. You have the Xbox Console Companion, and the Xbox app on PC. To stream to your PC, you will first need to turn on game streaming in Devices & connections Remote features in the Settings. Once you have done
that, start the Xbox console companion, then make sure you are on the same network as the Xbox, sign in with the same Xbox account that is on the console, and select the connection icon on the left of the app, and then select the console that is connected,
and select stream. You should now be streaming your console to your PC.

Mines the same mate was last night I presume they will fi it I have reported to xbox myself

they are stopping the xbox companion from streaming they have already stopped it in the companion app and moved it fully to xbox app on pc and i suspect windows 10 version too.

Sorry to hear about the issue. I actually have seen few players having the same issue on their Xbox Console Companion app not being able to stream with the same error message. Since you've tried several troubleshooting steps and still not working, the issue must be on server-side. I suggest that you instead provide a feedback or report the issue via Feedback Hub for the Xbox team to investigate the issue properly.
