    Xbox Console Companion can't find console


    When I try to connect my Xbox One to my Xbox Console Companion app using my Xbox's IP address it gives me an error message saying "We couldn't find an Xbox One console with the IP address provided". I was able to connect the day before but the next day
    when I tried to connect it said it couldn't. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it, but when I tried entering the same IP address I used the day before, it keeps giving me the same error message. I've tried power cycling my Xbox,
    restarting my laptop, made sure my Xbox app "allows connections from any device" in the settings, and even tried renaming my Xbox. I really just don't know what else to try.

    Earlier there was an issue where when I tried to start up the console it gave me an error code and said that updates needed to be completed in order to play. This was an issue that people were all talking about on the Xbox support page. Unfortunately the
    console companion app is the only means I have to display the image from my Xbox so I cannot easily check for my IP address.
