Xbox Console App crashing

Ugh, it's getting worse. Now the console companion app can't connect to my Xbox. It
used to be that I clicked on the Connect tab and it would wake up the Xbox and then let me stream. Now it offers me the option to add an Xbox and asks for the IP address. I gave it my Xbox's address and it said it couldn't find it.

For what it's worth, I've deleted and reinstalled the app using Powershell a couple of times, restarted my PC inbetween. No good. I even tried installing the Beta version of the App - no dice.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: It turns out if I go and physically turn my Xbox on, when I trudge back upstairs to my PC, the app can now see it. Did they remove the ability to switch it on remotely?

What device are you using the app on? My mobile one crashes periodically but nothing has happened on PC. I'm in the insiders program so my build may be different then yours

Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:

1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
*xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

4. Hit Enter.

Once the PC is restarted I suggest re-installing the Xbox App. Here is how:

1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

4. Hit Enter.

5. Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

Mine does this occassionally as well, sometimes if I'm just browsing the feed or trying to load messages. It will just lock up and freeze, and once in a while, close out and crash. One thing to try is to uninstall and reinstall the app, in case there are
any updates to the app itself that have not been applied, as this will download the current version with any updates that are out. Otherwise, I'm not too sure of a 100% sure fire way to stop it from happening as it locks up on me pretty regularly. I have a
lot of friends, clubs, and therefore feed on my Xbox account, but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it crashing. It shouldn't, but I'm not sure if it happens to other people that may not have much on their feed etc.

Im using iphone x on the new 13.0.0 update and everytime i try to open the app it goes to a white screen than crashes but does not kill the app just kicks me out
