Xbox Connects to network just fine but won’t give me access to any online function.

Yeah, NAT is already at moderate, and the child account is already set to custom and allowed to Join Multiplayer Games.

Networking itself is fine because as the parent account, I can play Multiplayer with no issue. And if I'm signed in then of course it's fine for him also.

Its only the child account that is giving me trouble. For any online game it keeps asking my child to buy Xbox Live Gold, even though a subscription is active on the box.

The error says "Your profile does not have the correct permissions to access Xbox Live functionality"

All profile settings seem to match.

Any other suggestions?

UNABLE TO ACCESS XBOX LIVE.

Suddenly tonight I can't run anything requiring xbox live. I'm prompted to check my connection. When I check my connection via the connection test in network settings everything is fine. The console connects to my router, to the internet and to xbox live
just fine. What gives?

Currently experiencing the same problem except when I check network connection it simply says everything is fine your console is connected to the internet yet if I try and run any app or game it says they're having trouble accessing my data and kicks me
to offline mode, there are no service alerts for xbox live it all says its working fine.

The main dashboard just has my current in use panel then an empty box that says connect to xbox live but this button doesn't do anything I have to manually bring up the settings page to get to network test

Please sort this out soon as I literally renewed my gold membership this morning, either give me what I payed for or give me my money back

I don't currently have access to any other xbox 360 console, nor do I have direct access to another network. Is it possible to connect my xbox 360 to my computer via an ethernet cable, use a wireless adapter on my computer to connect to a neighbor's connection,
and then use the 'internet sharing' function that Windows has built-in in order to connect my console to another network?

Really roundabout way of doing things I suppose, but I'm willing to give it a shot if one of you guys thinks it might work.

More than likely it will require you to attempt to connect to the internet on setup

But, as the Microsoft VP said you can play single player games that don't require an internet connection just fine if you network is interrupted or not present. You can still play some games and access the console but you just wont be able to access any
of the online features just like how it is now for the 360
