    Xbox Connection Dropping 24/7 HELP


    I'm having a very annoying issue with my connection right now. Without having a Ethernet connected to my Xbox, I get random lag spikes. But I've recently got Ethernet and it was working flawlessly at first. But whenever I plug it in and decide to play, I
    always drop randomly from everything then it reconnects me almost immediately. This tends to happen when I'm in a party chat with people. But still happens if I'm playing solo.

    Sum up of my issue: Getting disconnected randomly and being reconnected while playing online.

    Please help.

    Switching your router off.

    my advice is keep it on 24/7..if you continually switch it on and off..the router will think there is something wrong with the line as the connection keeps dropping off..this could lead to your speed being capped at the exchange as it will seem to the router/Bt
    etc that there is a fault because of the disconnections..if that makes sense??!

    You do know you only need to connect for a few seconds every 24 hours... not 24/7 and that is to only verify the DRM

    Xbox One's UI/OS needs to be on your console

    Nothings wrong with your X1 Smiles, it's simply the way in which MS servers connects to the X1. Instant on mode helps with the lag but comes with a 24 X 7 kwh increase.
