: Xbox connected but not connected to internet

Thanks for letting us know the error. This means it is not connecting to your hotspot at all. Try contacting your phone carrier see if there are any issues. Otherwise as mentioned you will need to try a stable internet connection other than a hot spot. Can
try clearing alt mac on the Xbox console. Go to settings>network>network settings>adv. settings>alt mac address>clear and restart.

The same message pops up trying that as well as testing network connection. It says cant connect to the internet

Thank you for keeping us updated. Does the console provide you with an error message or error code when you test the multiplayer connection in

the network settings? The issue lies with the hotspots ability to connect to Xbox Live. That is why some of these features are not available to your console. As XBF Brad A recommended, connecting to a home network to download the system update might be
the best course of action here. Be sure to let us know the results!

I have the same issue. I just reenter the password each time. Seems easier than keep performing empty diagnostic checks.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issues with the console connecting to live. You can try out the troubleshoot for

connecting to Xbox live. Try this and let us know. We also recommend since using a hotspot to try and use a friend or family internet connection to update. As hotspot are known to disconnect and could possible corrupt a system update.
