    Xbox completely erased after opting out of Insider program.


    The current beta was giving me some problems so I opted out of the program. In doing so the Xbox completely erased all the content on both the external hard drive and internal drive.

    Has anyone had this happen to them before?

    The thing is that after you opt out, your console remains in the insider program until the next official update.

    So you might still have the issues from the insider preview program.

    You should be able to opt out of the Insider program using the Xbox Insider Hub app on your console.

    Are you currently in the Insider/Preview program, or have recently opted out of it?

    If so, the Xbox is subject to factory resetting itself to new preview updates (if you're still in the program), or the latest public OS release (if you've opted out).
