    Xbox complete shutdown


    What do I do if (this only happens on Minecraft) my Xbox One X shuts down all of a sudden? I have cleared cache, re-installed Minecraft, and restarted the Xbox. I cannot factory reset it because my father has a lot of data that he doesn't want to lose. Should I just wait 2 months for my birthday?

    You can copy games to an external hard drive. His saves are stored to the cloud by default.

    Hello AgEd77, this may be happening because it is not doing the full shutdown on the console, to do this must do the full shutdown through the console settings.

    Xbox will only turn off completely if you're in: General Settings » Health and Boot Mode"Total Shutdown.

    Try a complete shutdown of the console. While it is shutdown, turn off your router/modem for 5-10 minutes then turn it back on. Wait for about 15 minutes and then restart the Xbox. Is the Xbox connecting wirelessly or with a wired connection? Under your
    network settings, check the connection to Xbox Live.
