Xbox.com won't let me use gift card to buy anything.

The only games that you have to buy on xbox.com are backwards compatible games because games for 360 and before are still only sold in the 360 marketplace by going to
https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/. The store's are different and Microsoft account credit cannot be used to buy games or content from the 360 Marketplace. If you try to buy
the same game on an Xbox One console, it still will not let you because the console is emulating the marketplace so the same rules apply.

Other than that, all digital content in the Microsoft Store can be purchased using account credit.

No, you can't. Microsoft and Google both use different payment methods with regards gift cards so you won't be able to use a Google Play Gift Card to buy anything for Xbox.

I've been having the same problem. It won't let me buy anything from the marketplace using my cards linked to my account, be it MS points or games on demand. I never had a problem in the past, just started happening recently. The weird thing is that I can
buy MS points fine through xbox.com using the same card I just tried to use on my xbox. Its not a big deal, but it is annoying.

My suggestion is to try buying points through xbox.com like I have been doing/

Hello, what you can do is buy Xbox gift cards with the corresponding amount

It won't let me, it says "Microsoft account balances cannot be used in the purchase channel"
