Xbox Cloud vs partner's account issues

Hi Folks,

I just encountered a strange issue. I'll leave few details:

Account 1 (mine): Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Active; set up as home console

Account 2: Partner's account, XGP active as well.

Both accounts are logged in on our Series X.

Issue:

Partner plays Elden Ring from DISC on Series X. All good. Not in multiplayer (he just started the game & tutorial)

I attempt to play As Dusk Falls in cloud on PC.

We're both kicked out playing saying that my account is playing on another device; while my account was playing only on PC/ Cloud and he was playing a disc version of a game (so nothing downloaded using my game pass) using his account.

Any way to fix this?

Hi Alex299sx, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this simply go to "Profile & system" and then switch to your account, one you're signed in kindly press the Xbox guide button again and then "profile & system", lastly select sign out.

You and your partner should be able to play on both devices without any issues.

The streaming bitrate is 192kbps, but it is using WMA which generally has better quality at the same bitrate than MP3 does.

That said, when you download songs, they are MP3s at 256kbps.

I have no insight into the future plans for Xbox Music.

Hi,

Everything for the home Xbox is set up correctly because they share and play other games which have been bought on my partner's/the home Xbox. The only game we have issue with is the siege because I bought it via my son's account. My partner doesn't want to play siege but if my son wants to play siege and my partner is using his Xbox/the home Xbox for another game, my son's account appears as if he doesn't own siege. If my partner isn't on his Xbox, my son can play siege.
