Struggling to figure this one out.

All Xbox Cloud games are unplayable.

They start with slow horizontal "scanning" on static screens, graphics building up from top down; but as soon as there's any motion (drive a car, fly airplane, video, whatever), screen becomes completely garbled in massive pixelization (almost 1cm each) and ghosting (worse that RealPlayer on 14.4k circa 1995 Xbox Cloud unplayable on Gigabit via Ethernet on multiple machines :).

I have Gigabit Internet; plugged in via Ethernet to either a laptop with discrete Geforce 940MX or to desktop with AMD RX 470 8GB. Basically same results.

Note I play Geforce Now on both machines with NO issues all the time, including Cyberpunk 2077 on high resolution.

Windows is up to date on both devices (in fact, laptop got completely reformatted a week or so ago).

GPU drivers are up to date.

This shows up in games as varied as Art of Rally and MS Flight Sim.

Various speed test sites show 800-950mbps (depending on server/site), with low latency (Ookla Ping is 2ms, Fast.com latency is 2ms unloaded, 10ms loaded, Google shows 4ms) . And again, Geforce Now is fine.

    I've tried various FAQs including:

Troubleshoot gameplay, performance, and stability issues on a Windows device | Xbox Support

Troubleshoot game audio or video issues on Windows | Xbox Support

I'm at wits end as to what to try next...

Should be noted your specs are barely above required

You gotta remember the laptop speca are underpowered compared to desktop specs

You should at least meet minimun requirememts

Since it's flight sim you should run it natively rather then over the network you asking a huge performance hit for a high requirement game

Cyberpunk requirements don't compare to flight sim

It's more for consoles that dont meet the minimun spec

Gigabit fiber is fastest in theory, but that’s only the connection to your house, not the willingness of others to fill that fat pipe from a single connection, nor does it account for All of the computers network servers and switches that are between the two of you. If you check the fine print on your service agreement, you’ll see “speeds not guaranteed”.

Yes there are several large data centers in the United States,These are serving millions of simultaneous users

This is fact-based troubleshooting because your ISP can run their own trace routes and find where the weak link may be occurring. They are the ones who have the tools to monitor your connection that we don’t

    Greetings NikiNoka,

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the cloud gaming service. Let's see if we can help.

Please keep in mind that the Cloud Gaming services are still in beta with no release date announce. This means that items such as this can occur when updates or testing occur on the back end. I would recommend checking out the reddit support page for Xbox Cloud Gaming to see what might be going on and to discuss with the community anything further. The page can be found here.

As for your issue specifically, I have seen some people get this issue fixed by checking that their network ports are forwarded correctly and that their NAT type is unrestricted.

You can check the ports you need to forward here

You can also check your NAT type from your system settings under General -> Network Settings. Your NAT type will show up on the right hand side.

Hope this helps and happy gaming.

Gigabit Internet is designed around a family of heavy users and virtually no service will provide you with that kind of bandwidth to an individual user. The speed test that you’re running is to local speed test servers and not to the Xbox servers.

Sounds like there’s a weak link in the chain between you that does not exist to other services. I would contact your Internet provider about that
