Xbox cloud gaming , game pass purchased but not working

No. Cloud gaming will only work on the account that purchases Game Pass Ultimate.

If you were planning to play the games from the cloud, then chances are the lag would be the same, but if you install to the console, then the games would play much better.

The Xbox Series S would work fine, but the games would not be in 4K. If you want 4K gaming the Xbox Series X would be the console to purchase.

No you would not need to purchase the games if the games are on Game Pass. Since you are playing on the cloud, you probably have Game Pass Ultimate anyway.

- Sign out of your Xbox account and sign back in.

- Check your account region settings and make sure they match your device region settings. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Language & location on your Xbox console or by visiting https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ on your web browser.

- Restart your device and launch the cloud gaming app again.

If you only have Xbox Game Pass, and you want to play Game Pass games on the laptop, then you will have to purchase PC Game Pass on your laptop to play PC games.

You could however purchase Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to PC Games Pass, Xbox Game Pass, EA Play, Xbox Live Gold & Cloud Gaming.
