Xbox cloud did not sync for 2 weeks

I have dragon ball kakarot saved on my portable drive I have been using for years to move between my xbox and the one at my girlfriend.

Over the two weeks Christmas period I have been playing at hers and my place switching between consoles by taking the external hard drive.

Last night when switching console my game seemed to sync with the cloud, all of the sudden I have saves from months ago.

I deleted the local save to try to force another sync but it redownloaded the same save.

I know I was online during the two weeks period as I was in parties with friends and even switched playing dragon ball to play warzone, so I was definitely online.

So my saves with over 20 hours of game must have been saved on the cloud but seems they have not and have over written any recent recent.

Any way I could recover my save?

    :)

Achievements in Mass Effect 1 not unlocking.

Some achievements have cloud sync errors and can take a few days or weeks to unlock. I have a friend that received an achievement 2 weeks after the fact.

Backwards compatible games and cloud saves

The error message was for a previous problem.

    Let me simplify.

Some games sync and download my cloud saves fine, e.g. Assassins Creed 3 and GTA4.

Some game do not sync, e.g. Fable 2, Too Human, Dragon Age Origins and Star Wars Unleashed.

Far Cry 2, on the other hand, did not download my cloud save in February/ March. However, it started to sync yesterday. I did not play the game on any other console. I didn't change anything, so why didn't it sync before? And why are some games still not syncing?

It's clear that Far Cry 2 had save data in the cloud, but it wasn't syncing. So what changed?

Minecraft stuck on screen “Syncing user data”

Did you get any solution to this? Im having exact same problem and have

only had the game for a week.

Followed link above and it provided no solution. I have onle played on one xbox so the syncing cloud solution is worthless

Xbox 360 game save not working on other Xbox one

I had this issue with Fable 2 two weeks ago.

I had to manually save my game because for some reason the auto save feature wasn't syncing.

Also found out save data sync when playing BC games take a little longer to hit the cloud. You can jump from one Xbox to another right away.
