    Xbox cloud data was over written and I want old data back


    Recently I had tried to play Forza Horizon 4 on my pc but the data syncing is broken so I stopped the sync and played with my game reset. Now I want to play on my xbox with all my old data but it has been overwritten and no matter what I do I can't get back to my old data. Everything I see says I should delete the data from the game management menu but I am scared it will delete the data I want. How would I be able to get my old data back?

    It is unlikely that you will be able to recover but try this. Click the menu button on the game icon and go to manage game and add-ons>saved data and delete the console only progress, open the game and resynchronize your progress. If it is with the same progress it means that the progress has been rewritten.

    if it synced on the xbox then its gone, never cancel a sync, if you do don't play and sync again as it will overwrite the cloud version and that cannot be recovered.
