Xbox Clips Will Not Upload to Network or be deleted either

I have an xbox series S and this problem started about 10 days ago I tried waiting to see if it would go away on it's own but it hasn't. I've read through the forums, cleared my MAC address, unplugged the console for 5 mins, reset the internet and even reset my xbox, which deleted the clips on my xbox itself !!! The problem still persists, I upload a capture the companion apps say it's been uploaded and when I go to the notification or to check it says error. When I suspected this might be, due to storage I purged many clips and deleted them, but when i reopened my xbox a day later they were back, the DVR storage went from being 46% to now -4%, how can I have negative space? Apparently my xbox can create dark matter if that is the case. Please help me solve this issue. I've been with xbox for 8 years and this is the first time a problem like this has happened. Please help me resolve this as soon as possible.

    :)

I wholeheartedly agree with you. But there is no official statement made but it is also being reported on the official Xbox Twitter page through the comments option by a large number of players as well.

So I do believe based only on my nearly 5 years assisting Xbox support that this is a widespread issue.

Hello Jonny, I went through and did that however, that just feels as if we took the problem and did the same thing I did here, you say multiple people have been having this problem so their must be an explanation as to why and if there isn't one then there must be information on the protocol being taken to tackle this issue. If you could reply with either of those things so that others who also have my problem and look at this post can see I think it would be beneficial.

Screenshots will not delete from or upload to the Xbox network.

Same issues. So I tried to delete a clip in the app and it said it was unable to. I deleted it from the network with the Xbox one and it deleted. I also deleted a clip from the console hard drive along with several screenshots and that works with no issues.

Sometimes when viewing clips on the network it shows old clips that I've already deleted, but they aren't veiwable. Switching between everything and game clips in manage captures makes them disappear.

This does not happen when I delete clips or screenshots directly from the Xbox one hard drive.

I checked network settings and it says NAT type: Open and all services available.

Still can't delete or upload screenshots at all, only clips.

How do I get my expired captures back?

Unfortunately captures are automatically deleted from the Xbox network after 90 days now. You could try opening the Captures app and selecting "On this Xbox console" from the drop-down list at the upper-left, as clips are not automatically deleted from the console itself after 90 days, although they do get deleted from there over time as you capture new clips and screenshots. It's worth checking though.

What I do is set the console to automatically upload my captures to both the Xbox network and OneDrive, as they are not automatically deleted from OneDrive and it makes it easy to save any ones that I want to keep on my PC. Unfortunately, you can't share clips uploaded to OneDrive on your profile or via an Xbox message, which is why I upload to both.

But yeah, if your missing clips are not on the console itself and you only uploaded them to the Xbox network, they are gone for good I'm afraid.
