Xbox Clanking While Installing Disc

I just got another Xbox and I was installing the games from my old one. During the installation every 2 to 3 minutes it would make a chuka chuga chuka chugga noise. Is this normal or should I take it back.

You can't play a disc game while installing another disc game

But you can play a disc game while another is downloading, play a download while installing a disc or play a download while installing another download.

 

Save file is corrupt

Try installing the game. If the disc is faulty you will get a disc unreadable error while installing. That way you know to get the disc replaced.

If the game is already installed then try uninstalling and then installing again.

Are you having any trouble using the console apart from the noise? Is the console plugged directly into a wall socket as well so that it receives the proper amount of power?

After you finished transferring the games were you able to play them without issue as well?
