Xbox checking upgrade screen is stuck

Does this keep happening even if you restart? Is that on the console or on the Xbox app?

If this is on the console, you can try performing a factory reset and then try the update again. It could be that something went wrong when performing the updates.

f you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & System> Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Reset and remove everything. This option resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps will be deleted. Use this option when selling or gifting the console or as a last resort in some troubleshooting cases.

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It resets the OS and deletes all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep your games & apps.

Cancel. To back out of this screen, simply select the Cancel button. No action has been taken at this point. This is a safe exit from this screen.

After you select one of the options, your Xbox console begins the process of erasing the selected content and resetting itself to the default settings.

If the problem persists, try performing an offline update. follow the steps on this link.

Hello. It's not a XBox update. It's a Hisense TV. Update. Don't reset your XBox. If been struggling to get rid of the message for the last 3 days. Figured it out after I turned of my XBox and saw the message remain.

my console its stuck on that screen, tried factory and nothing, downloaded the OSU1 from the official website, get that error and when i checked the OS VERSION mine its newer, i cant find that OS VERSION to do and OFFLINE UPGRADE

I got the in-place upgrade working, it might have been an install issue before with it being corrupted but I'm on the checking for updates screen which appears to be stuck at 14

Edit: it just went to 15 so it is doing its job, but it is really slow

Is anyone else having issues with the SmartGlass staying stuck on the title screen on a Win Phone 7 device? I have a HTC Trophy that I've forced the 7.8 upgrade onto and have bought the SmartGlass upgrade and all I get to look at is the title screen.
