Xbox Charging stand

Does the previous model xbox charging stand work with the xbox series x controller

Older generation stands like contact chargers would need a new backplating

Ones that uses microusb then no as all next gen consoles use usb type c

MS does not have any stands

Anything would be third party

Xbox does not have an official charger stand, normally chargers from other brands do not work with new generation Xbox controllers, it would be best to contact the manufacturer

The Xbox one is not designed to stand vertically it should be flat It is a play and charge so you can play while it charges so it needs to be plugged into your console.

You'll probably need to purchase a new play and charge kit. However, I use the energizer charge kit. It comes with 2 batteries and stand for charging and it's lasted for me since the Xbox One came out.

With regards there has always been a "design flaw" for the Charge and Play Kit. When the Xbox 360 is turned (either way) and the Controller Battery Pack requires charging it will allow the Xbox 360 Console to be in Stand-by Mode
until the Battery is charged. After it is is completely charged, it will turn off the Stand-by Mode of the Console.

Now, here's the design flaw. The Controller uses Power even when everything else is off. Take a Controller into a pitch black room even with everything else off and you will still see a very slight green light around the Guide Button. This causes the Battery
Pack to discharge over time even when not in use at all. This means the Xbox 360 is in Stand-by until the Controller charges (when left Plugged In) and shuts off completely after it is fully charged. The Controller then continues to discharge at a trickle
rate until it is used next. Over time this shortens both the Battery life and cause the Battery to be essentially needing a charge the next time it used.

In short, it is simply best to remove the Battery Pack after it has been fully charged. Whether or not someone wants to wait for the Xbox 360 (in Stand-by) or simply play with the Controller plugged in it is up to them.
