  1. Xbox causing tv to change sources while off

    Hello everyone,

I was streaming Disney+ and my Xbox is turned off (low power mode) and for some reason it turned off Disney+ and switched to HDMI 1 (Xbox Series X) on my smart TV. The Xbox is still off and the tv basically goes to a blank screen since there’s no input to show since the Xbox is turned off.

What’s causing this? I don’t wanna turn off the setting where my tv switched to Xbox when the Xbox is powered on, but that’s the only solution I can think of at the moment?

can i watch my cable through my xbox one without having to turn on my xbox one?

I am able to watch TV while the xbox one is turned off. I just change the source to TV and somehow it works

    Watching tv with xbox off?

Does your Xbox control the TV, is it switched off when you hit source on your remote? What make and model of TV is it, as it sounds odd that you can't change source. You would need to have both HDMI cables plugged in to your TV, switch between HDMI source

Does Playing Games With Xbox Causes Back Pain

The games and the xbox itself dont causes backpain. This could happen if you have a bad position while you play your games or could have an other source. Try to change your position or how you sit before your TV. If that change nothing you should go and
see a doctor. Hope that helps.

Xbox One randomly flicks my TV source to HDMI, then back when in 'instant on' mode.

Ok, so properly setting up my tv through my xbox one has done nothing to fix my problem.

While watching my normal tv with the Xbox in 'Instant-on' standby mode the tv changes source to HDMI1 (which the Xbox is plugged into) for a spilt second then reverts back to the tv source randomly.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Xbox One S is changing the TV port

There is a setting for selecting source on the xbox. Under start up behaviour and also control AV/TV that can cause this.

I had it when I set the xbox to be able to control the TV with the xbox remote/IR thing.

I just turned off the auto switch to TV setting, and the ability to control AV equipment and it stopped happening.
