Xbox captures only 5-10 seconds of vid w/ no audio

I had the same issue. I used two different fixes, but I'm not sure as to which one was the actual fix. I first changed my record length to a different length, i.e. 30 seconds, then captured a recording, then changed it back. I also uploaded my clips to
onedrive, then cleared them off of both my xbox and xbox live. Since doing this, I've had no issues. I'd start with the first one, as it's less hassle. Best of luck

Please perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

Restart your Xbox One console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

this is still an issue, can confirm that the actual forza game clip captures on the xbox one are fine. it's only when they're rendered and uploaded - the resulting mp4 file has the audio delay. has occurred on about ten forza captures, every one has the
audio preceding the video by about two seconds.

As others have stated, there is no way to record your audio while using the 'record from now' function.

I stream to mixer and that captures my mics audio, and it's really easy to do too.

The only other alternatives to a capture card is to stream directly from your console to Mixer or Twitch, or use the Xbox App on Windows 10 to stream your console's audio and video to the windows 10 device, then you can use some other software to record,
or stream. ( I hope that made sense).
