Xbox captures lagging real bad when playing in 1440P

    Xbox captures lagging real bad when playing in 1440P


    Some time ago i changed my display resolution to 1440P and the captures are lagging really bad

    I did a factory reset and i changed my capture resolution from 1080P to 720P hoping it would help but it didn't

    The only fix i found is setting the xbox display quality to 1080P but i don't really want to do it because the difference between 1080P and 1440P is pretty noticable in some games

    Is there anything i can do or is going back to 1080P the only option?

    My Xbox game clips are lagging

    I'm having the same issue on my Xbox series X. I have a 1440p 75hz monitor and my output is 1440p, even with the output and monitor set to 1080p I still have the issue. I have tested this with and without freesynch (On my monitor) turned on, as well as variable frame rate setting on the series X.

    The strange thing is when I was playing the Halo Infinite flight recently, nearly all of my clips had NO lag spikes or stutters, there was 1 clip that had an issue (I had made at least 15 captures).

    I also say I would rather play my games smooth at 1440p and FPS as high as possible, rather than lowering the settings just to have smooth captures... But it would be nice if this issue could be resolved.

    Any thoughts?
    Looks like right now the only way is to set it to 1080p and have smooth captures, or to play 1440p and have stutter. Sucks, but that's the way it is until they fix it.

    My Xbox game clips are lagging

    I was somehow able to fix the lag by setting my refresh rate to 120hz (vs 60) and keeping my display resolution at 1440p and the capture resolution at 1080p. Not sure how but my clips have been perfect since!!

    Its lag comp and yes, it will continue. It started for me with MW3 which was the worst experience ever. It gets real bad when you play in groups of people from different parts of the country. BO2 and Ghosts on the One got a little bit better. But with
    MW3 I actually had to quit the game it was so bad.
