    Xbox Capture is BROKEN!


    Hey All
    This is a very frustrating issue the troubleshooting is proving useless, and from what I see this is a MASSIVE issue and needs addressing!

    I have used xbox capture for years it is a great feature always had it set to 1080 at 2 mins, I used to then download them and edit for insta and youtube for keeps.
    just recently maybe 2/3 weeks ago my consoles have decided they are only going to record around 8 seconds or often records nothing no settings have changed,
    I have plenty of memory free, I have altered the length and resolution of the clips, I have tried resetting the xboxs, to no avail last night We had some epic squad action in Warzone and wanted the clips for a few first wins for a couple of our team members and lone behold out of around 6 captures I have ended up with 1 pretty unusable 8 second clip :/

    I tried downloading the clip to see what is going on It has downloaded as an 8 sec clip but upon trying to share it to Whatsapp it will not send.

    Lets not lock this disscussion this is a MASSIVE ISSUE that needs sorting!

    Same! Been having the same issue for the past year. Most of my recordings are only getting between 3-8 seconds instead of 1 min. Which is super frustrating especially when it won’t even load up the 3-8 seconds I DID manage to record

    Can I use a capture card as a hdmi For Xbox?

    If the HDMI port is broken there is nothing to capture

    Capture cards are also not intended for timing important things like gaming, Just capturing video.

    You should send it in for repair or replace the console
