Xbox blocked my messages

I get a message of xbox telling me that I cant send messages on xbox...well this happend because I had a problem with another person in a game, we send some messages that ofcourse it was insults...I want to know how how long can I not send messages ? and
how is possible that he can still sending messages if he did the same thing to me ?...I know that sending messages with insults is bad and thats dont have to happend on xbox, I really need help I always use messages on xbox to talk with friends. (I dont talk
english so well, so Im sorry if I dont talk so well in this post)

Pretty much sounds like you have not gone through your privacy menuClick to expand... Pretty sure there is no setting to block messages from people. I've been in the privacy menu. You can turn notifications off but you still get the messages in your inbox you are just not notified. If you want to point out the exact setting you changed id like to know. I see one that says (others can) "Decide who to communicate with on Xbox live using voice and text". < Everybody, Friends, or block. Ill try and change that to see if it blocks messages from random people...

But in reality there is a more broader picture here and it is simple. I have 17,000 followers and would just not like to have that anymore. For several months it was cool. But I shouldn't be stuck with 17k for the next 8 years of xbox one and beyond. THAT IS MY MAIN ISSUE.Click to expand...

Ahhh ok I mis read sorry, Have you tried going to Xbox Live.com goto your profile and click friends tab. From that tab you can block followers. There is no mass block function but you should be able to quickly block followers which should remove them from your followers list.

EDIT: not sure if this will work but here is a way I would try to solve this problem. I would download a program called fiddler. It allows you to watch your net traffic. I would then goto xbox live and block one person on my list . I would capture the rest api call that xbox sends to block. I would then write a script in power shell to download all my followers, and invoke the rest api call to block them all.

But yes I can block followers but only those in the past 12 weeks. After that my list is empty. So basically I blocked 1,000 followers then unblocked them (since I don't mind them just don't want kids spamming me randomly). After I blocked and then unblocked them it removes them from following you. The crazy thing about Xbox live is I cannot even access more than those first 1,000 followers that are on my account. it is like the other 16,000 aren't on my list anymore. Tried xbox.com, the app, and the system. I got 16k people that have me friended and "follow me" Gotta be a way to delete um...........

I know this is a rare issue because most never have to worry about something like this, but really Microsoft????? You make popular broadcasters and hit clip creators suggested friends, then give no solution to the incoming "flood of spam"??Click to expand...

At that point I think this is something you should see help with Xbox Live Support. This is an edge case scenario. As stated earlier blocking messages from people you dont know should stop the spam.

The enforcement team do not use the forums.

You would of been sent an email telling you why & how long you are suspended for or you can check on the enforcement site
here where you can also file for a case review if eligible.

As for the other person,did you report them? You don't know whether they were suspended or will be suspended or not.

Tarchuo everyone by now should be aware of phrases of profane nature. Make sure to avoid them in the future for it's not the words itself is the meaning you give them that has importance. If you use those phrases as insults to fellow gamers that is base
for suspension.

Don't mix politics with service rules and norms of conduct. I suggest you to use the time under suspension and reflect about the agreement you have signed when you joined the xbox service:
