It works! You just have to hit the power button just before hitting and holding the other two buttons.

How long did you press this two buttons? What happens after the second sound? Does a screen appear?

For me, if I remember correctly, I let go after hearing the second sound and a black screen with (I think) 4 large button options appeared. They were reset options and the one at the top right was a software update option, which I read to be a possible solution too on one forum but it was grayed out and un-selectable for me. I went with the option to reset but keep game data.

Yep , Black screen of death..... so nothing worked . USB install.. nope, pressing the synch and eject buttons.. nope. Spent an hour on the phone with Microsoft , gave them access to my PC to download the OSU 1 update . Nothing worked . It is currently on its way to Microsoft in Texas for repairs. Good luck everyone .

This doesn't work as we can't actually access any screen other than the one that pops up after holding the Xbox button. I can't access settings or anything on my console other than this one.



If i close that all I get is a black screen. This happened immediately after my console updated today.
