    Xbox beta ring fast start, apps won't load.


    When I powered on my Xbox1 S yesterday none of the apps would launch. Error: the app took too long to load. I restarted via menus and no video came back on restart. Had to unplug and plug back in. Powering back on I get the green xbox screen

    Today I had the same behavior.

    Error: the app took too long to load.

    I tried to "report a problem" and received the same error.

    Upon rebooting I don't get served any video and have to unplug.

    Any thoughts?

    Download the insiders app on xbox and start doing missions. Beta ring is earned and will take a few months. Hth

    Hi AllOutJay, please make sure your PC meets the following requirements:

    • Have a video card capable of 1080p60 encode.

    • Be running Windows insider build 14332 (current Fast ring build) or better.

    • Have the latest version of the Xbox (Beta) App: 15.16.25000.0.

    To enable this feature.

    1. Launch the Xbox (Beta) App.

    2. Navigate to Settings > GameDVR.

    3. Set the Video Quality to Very High.

    You have to be in the alpha ring of the insider program or use the beta xbox app on a windows 10 pc.
