Xbox barcode problems

    I have received an Xbox one S for Christmas and an Xbox Live Gold card and it says I have to scan it to get code? No idea what to do

    barcode ripped

    Good evening, I bought a gift card for my son, but when he was removing the paper covering the code tore a few numbers, how should I proceed, I still have the card has other numbers behind, can they be used to check the bar code ?

    Code Scratched Off Giftcard!

    It helps keep fraud from happening like people just scanning the barcode

    FYI if you have kinect you can just scan the barcode to input the code from the scratched off area

    Call them and tell then your problem and you should be able to do it through barcode

    You could try a smart phone with a barcode app installed and try to scan/read the barcode this way.

    The Xbox One X has the serial number on the outside of the box in some regions beside the retail barcode.

    Disk reading issues

    So I have had another play around and the xbox will not play a normal dvd none blu Ray but yes to blu Ray so in theory there is something wrong with one of the disc readers, am I right in this. I have found somone I can trust in checking a couple of the games I am having issues with, as when I have checked the discs and don't know how technical this is but the discs that don't work on the silver side all have one barcode ring and xbox ring symbol near the hole yet the games and blu Ray dvd that work all have two barcode rings and xbox ring near the hole don't fully understand what this tells me but I'm thinking does this mean 2 barcodes is blu Ray disc and 1 barcode means normal disc not sure.
