this is correct but I asked around to see who knows more about this ban method apparently whoever has it connects to a VPN close to you're city or state and contacts Microsoft about someone being logged into their account aka you're account and Microsoft locks it as it's considered a "suspicious login" with this said even if they don't have any other information that's all they need to lock you completely from being able to sign back in I've contacted Microsoft about this but I don't know if they will help me. I was told an email from the Microsoft soft team should be sent to me within the next 24-78 hours I don't know If this is true but as of right now 10 people have been completely logged out of their accounts

I think you've missed what the OP is referring to. The OP is saying that the person deliberately tries to login to your account with wrong information (basically, without knowing your password) and the account gets locked due to suspicious activity (presumably the password needs to be entered wrongly a certain number of times before the account becomes locked)...this then locks the player out of their own account

No that's not how it works lol

You need the email

Your gamertag has nothing to do with your login

You can't enter your gamertag anywhere period to login

I seen how the method works they literally just type you're gamer tag in and say that no one is supposed to be signed in to the account so Microsofts report system locks the account as a suspicious login no email needed nothing but the gamer tag and anyone can be a target of this I'm honestly just trying to find a way for everyone to not be targeted by this if I can get the method I'll paste in this thread or dm you directly if I can to get this patched as no one should be a target of this abuse as it's not ok

Not entirely sure how it would work as Microsoft would need a lot more than "Someone tried to log into this account, lock it at once" without knowing some security details...simply knowing the email address would not be enough.
