    Xbox avatar editor won't save changes


    I have tried everything ever suggested to get the avatar editor app to save changes or even allow me to create a new avatar and I keep getting the "something went wrong" error message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, power cycled the console, made sure the app is installed on internal, did a soft reset and nothing fixes the problem. This is on series s btw. I am not the only one I see posts about this issue going back for years is the avatar editor just not supported anymore? Not going to be fixed? Can we get an answer so we can stop wasting our time please

    Can't re-download my xbox 360 account nor sign in with my Xbox profile on xbox 360

    Make a change to your avatar, save and try playing again.

    Note Any avatar change will do because the change causes the service to sync your account for your profile.

    Launch the Xbox Avatar Editor app.

    Xbox Avatar Editor

    Sign in and make any change to your avatar.

    Select Save.

    This may be a dumb question, but are you sure that you are actually saving the change on the console, not just changing it and then exiting the Avatar Editor? You actually need to save the changes prior to exit (I think the button says "Save & Exit") or
    the changes won't take.

    Maybe I can pick it up where he left off. My wife has the same issue. Same error. We can use the other application, but it still makes no difference.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    For now I will not be able to answer this question if this is a known issue, as far as I can see that the Avatar Creation App is still supported.



    Can you download the Xbox Original Avatars - Microsoft Store Apps and see if there will be any changes.
