    Xbox authentication infinite loop

    Hello there!

    In this case, a suggestion might be to create an alternate MAC address.

    Use your phone or PC to locate the MAC address and input this information into:

    1. Locate Settings by pressing the Xbox button
    2. Find Network and then Network Settings
    3. Head to Advanced Settings
    4. Find Alternate MAC address and set it to Manual

    Try these steps out and let us know if this worked.

    it worked that way one time but not anymore. edge is still messed up. I downloaded Monument Browser out of the Xbox Store and use that to authenticate now.

    Hi,

    Does this error occur with all games or only certain ones, and are you signed in to the correct account/profile? Do you receive this ‘Welcome back’ prompt every time and you can’t continue regardless of what profile and game?

    Simply signing in to the Xbox Console Companion app seems to have resolved the error for others as reported in this thread:
