Xbox attempting to access and link my other accounts without authorization

Anyone else noticed that Xbox App on windows keeps opening other launchers and suddenly tries to get you to sign into them again so it can cross link your accounts without your permission?

I noticed this as I Still had the riot launcher installed. Xbox kept opening the riot launcher, every time I closed it, I'd see it re-launch again in my systray, OVER and OVER again.

When I went to delete it. The process was locked by XboxAppServices.exe

I also noticed after getting Gamepass and installing it. When i went to launch any of my other accounts they were all signed out.

Out of curiosity I installed Xbox on my other pc that has Ubisoft and EA accounts. Xbox game also decided to launch these launchers as well, The accounts were punted and kicked out and tried to force me to log back into it.

I tested with a non-subbed account and a new throwaway, and the Xbox linked when i signed into the Other software launcher.

Anyone else noticed that microsoft is attempting to link your accounts acorss multiple platforms without consent?

If third party apps automatically opens, most likely they are running on start up.

This is opened through the Xbox App and it could be the reason why it looks like Xbox app is running it.

You can try to disable startup apps by opening task manager > Startup tab> then Disable everything.

You may also try to perform clean boot.

None of the apps in question are on startup. This behaviour only began being exhibited after the x-box app for gamepass was installed.

Copy pasta generic troubleshooting won't help with this case.

Safemode does not rectify the issue. When terminating Xbox process tree, it also terminates the child process that is the other game applicaiton. The Xbox app is directly responsible for launching the child process.

nothing to investigate, microsoft took the liberty of allowing the xbox app to open ubisoft connect, and other launchers as their games became available as part of gamepass, this is a blatent invasion and there should be a toggle to stop this behaviour.

the only way currently to stop it is to strip out the xbox app completely and not use it.

I have currently stripped out gamebar, xbox app, basically anything to do with xbox on pc i have now stripped from windows 11, all xbox related items in windows should be optional.
