Xbox Assist in start menu

Hey all,

To get to the point, I would like to relocate or outright remove the 'Xbox Assist' button that is newly at the bottom of the start menu when selecting a game or app on the dashboard.

So within the last week or so an 'Xbox Assist' button with a little light bulb appeared on the start menu when using the dashboard. Traditionally, this spot on the bottom has been reserved for the quit button, so that a quick Start-Rt-A maneuver quits a
game or app in a fraction of a second. Suddenly this no longer works as there is a new button there.

Previously I was in the Xbox Preview program, I found this new 'Xbox Assist' button placement unacceptable and unenrolled, but the button still stands. This morning I went through a factory reset of my console in hopes to free myself from this curse. No
such luck.

Is there a way to remove this button from the start menu? I personally have never used 'Xbox Assist', but after mistakenly opening it several times, I have looked within the app thinking it may help me learn to remove it. It did not.

As mentioned, I was previously in the preview program, and now am not. I recall that there were two forms of the program, I was in the less frequently updating one. Is it possible that the other program option is far enough ahead to no longer have this issue?

I've seen this issue briefly mentioned on other websites, and generally responders handwaive it as "just another thing to put up with". I personally don't find that attitude productive, so if that's your sentiment as well please keep it to yourself.

For reference I am using a stock Xbox One.
