Xbox App won't sync to Xbox

I've read many threads on this, I've troubleshooted multiple times, I've done everything short of factory reset my console.

All ports are open, my Samsung S7 is on the same network as my Xbox one. When I first purchased the console the xbox app would connect and allow me to use my mobile phone as a controller, now it won't sync to my xbox or give me the option to use it as a
controller.

I specifically need the connection as I am an admin of an Ark Survival Evolved cluster and I frequently need to paste codes into the admin portal. Other admins use the xbox app to do this, I don't understand why my app won't sync.

All threads I've read lead to be locked with no solution.

How can this be resolved without deleting all my games and resetting my console?

I have the same problems, i have a server and i need to use xbox app to copy the comands of SA Companion, and i can’t, the error code in my xbox app is this: 0x80000005.

I eliminated my app, and still not working.

Hi DrunkSoul,

I had the same issues until I've set the Xbox IP address to static (in the router settings) and enabling UPnP. From then on, the app worked fine.

Sorry kiddo, but I've already got a static IP with port forwarding, all ports required. I have UPnP enabled.

If my original post mentions ports being open, don't ya think I know how to set up a static IP? Because after all, you can't forward ports to nowhere. Don't reply unless your reply is USEFUL.

As the original post says, I've follow all the troubleshooting crud that literally tells you nothing.

Microsoft needs to fix this [Mod Removed- Inappropriate] because I'm about ready to move to
[Mod Removed- Inappropriate]. I despise Sony but at least their
[Mod Removed- Inappropriate] works.

Thanks for reaching out to the community for support on this problem syncing your phone to the console. I can understand how having this feature just stop working out of the blue could be

irritating. That being said, maybe some troubleshooting will help rectify the situation.

If you haven't already, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the phone, or restarting the phone in general.

I also suggest a soft factory reset of the console. It's a reset that
doesn't uninstall any of your games/apps, steps for which you can find at

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One . Just make sure that before you do so, you know all the sign in information for the accounts on your console (as you'll have to redownload your profiles) and that you have easy
internet access.

When you get a chance, give those step a shot and let us know how that helped.
